A chance meeting at a networking event turned in to a conversation about the planning for WordCamp Vegas. Within a couple days, we had already laid the foundation for hosting the event at the brand new inNEVation Center. I was already very excited. Then, something incredible happened. I received word that not only were we welcome to use the space to host WordCamp, they decided to sponsor the event by donating the use of the space.
I can’t say enough nice things about the team at the inNEVation Center. They have been helpful and accommodating every step of the way. Thanks to Sam for making it happen and to Kirsten for being so amazingly helpful!
So, what is the inNEVation center, you ask?
• The inNEVation Center is the first public/private economic diversification effort of its kind. It was developed by Rob Roy, Nevada’s most successful tech start-up entrepreneur
• It is a COWORKING environment where start-ups and entreprenuers (inNEVators) converge with business luminaries, political leaders, and investors (COLLABORATORS) in a place that ignites focus, development, networking and success for all involved
• The 40,000+ S.F. space provides not only the world’s largest and most powerful buisness infrastructure including 1 million meg to the Internet, but also a supportive community complete with networking opportunities and educational events held at a state-of-the-art venue
• The inNEVation Center is powered by Switch, the world’s most powerful technology business ecosystem – located right in Las Vegas. As Nevada’s biggest technology success story, Switch provides 100% secure uptime for the servers of Google, VM Ware, HP, Intuit, eBay, Zappos, Playstation, NewsCorp, Fox, Dreamworks, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Harrah’s Entertainment, MGM Resorts, Xerox, Harley Davidson, City National Bank, Intel, Cardinal Health, Logitech, and various government agencies and utilities (along with 452 others) and counting
