It\u2019s not a what so much as a who. The name is a homage to Firefly, a TV show from 2002, and from the subsequent movie Serenity (affectionately known as the \u201cBig Damn Movie\u201d by the show\u2019s fans). The phrase \u201cthe shiny nine\u201d came from James Hance<\/a>, an artist who creates fan art for many different shows and genres.<\/p>\n Shiny 9 Web Design is in no way affiliated with either 20th Century Fox or with James Hance.<\/p>\n (Nota bene<\/em>: We are also not affiliated with the ZZ Top song \u201cBig Shiny Nine,\u201d which is probably<\/em> about a 9mm pistol, but might be about…well, let\u2019s just assume it\u2019s about a pistol.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is Shiny 9?
