Site Smart

Bio

Site Smart Marketing is nothing like your average internet marketing and website design company. We get just as excited about blowing up small businesses as we do about marketing a large enterprise. Our Las Vegas based company was founded in 2010 by Kira Krostag and partners as a small team of three. It now employs over 20 team members.

Our team is comprised of online marketing consultants, Google Ads experts, SEO geeks, content writers, graphic designers, website designers, and coders. We build WordPress websites to maximize SEO strategies, not just to build them.

We’re a little silly, a little different, a little unique. If you want to deal with real humans, that’s our vibe. Education is a major part of the process. Our clients only thought they needed a web designer, but they ended up with a business consultant and friend for life.

Over ten years later, he manages a WordPress blog network consisting of dozen project-specific or transit news sites and growing.

Faced with a life-altering heart event in 2017, he pivoted on all things WordPress, leveraging his creative past, teaching tech, and truly giving back by sharing his story of re-igniting your dreams. He actively contributes the WordPress Community, founding the WordPress Santa Clarita Valley Meetup, speaking or volunteering at WordCamps.

In April, he was Lead Organizer for his brainchild, WordCamp Santa Clarita, was the first WordCamp north of Los Angeles and south of San Francisco in over five years.

Todd Huish

Todd got bitten by the WordPress bug after attending the inaugural Las Vegas WordCamp all the way back in 2009. After attending 6 more camps that year, he decided that programming for WordPress sites, full time, was the lifestyle he’d always wanted. After spending over 20 years in Las Vegas, he recently left for the damper climes of the Pacific Northwest and spends his time cursing the sunny days and learning how to deal with nature.

Todd is most comfortable staring at a terminal, making plugins and APIs do unnatural things, and trying to ignore the front end as much as possible. No one is more shocked than he is to find out how much marketing knowledge he collected after two decades of programming with PHP.

Jim Raffel

Jim started his first WordPress blog in the middle of 2005. He quickly learned his way around the backend to create the look and feel he desired. Later he used his Linux and programming past to hack code together in an effort to get even closer to his vision of a perfect website. In 2010 Jim began partnering with Shelby and quickly learned that Comic Sans was not a good choice for, well anything! Working together from that point on, Jim has managed the backend technology of as many as 20 websites while Shelby takes care of the front-end design, typography, and most importantly proofreading. Jim also has a few other businesses he’s involved with and in all those businesses one of his key focuses is driving sales which he prefers to call business development.
