Aaron Hockley

Aaron Hockley is a photographer and blogger with a strong tech background. While he explores all areas of photography, his focus is making businesses better with imagery of the events, people, and facilities that drive businesses of all sizes. In addition to creating his own photographs, Aaron is a writer and speaker who spends time focusing on the intersection of the photography and online worlds, helping bridge the gap between two groups that have been traditionally separate. Austin Passy

Brad Williams

Brad Williams is the co-founder of WebDevStudios.com, a co-host on the SitePoint Podcast, and the co-author of Professional WordPress and Professional WordPress Plugin Development.

Chelsea, known to many as Chexee, is a compact time traveler currently based in Reno, Nevada. She’s a designer who loves learning from the people around her. She spent her formative years in Las Vegas and attended all of the following high schools at some point: Cimarron, Arbor View, Las Vegas Academy, and Pahrump Valley. She’s currently a design wrangler for Automattic. Some of her favorite things are puppies, organized CSS, and science-fiction. She thinks Sara Cannon is just too cool.

Colin Loretz

Colin is a web app developer, designer and community builder. He is the founder of Reno Collective Coworking, Ignite Reno, and Reno-Tahoe WordCamp. He is passionate about the combination of technology and community and how it has an opportunity to change the world. He is the co-organizer of Hack4Reno, a 24 Hour Open Data Hackathon that inspires developers, designers and entrepreneurs to build open source apps and services for the Reno community. He has been using and developing on the WordPress platform for 8 years.

Dre Armeda

Andres “Dre” Armeda, CISSP is a web designer with a security habit. Dre is the founder of CubicTwo, a web solutions company. He gets his web security fix as Co-Founder of Sucuri Security.

CubicTwo is a web solutions company based in Riverside County, California. CubicTwo stemmed from over 10 years of consulting and creating web and graphics solutions.

Sucuri is a security company that concentrates on being the leader in web integrity monitoring and web malware removal. Sucuri offers web integrity monitoring and alerting capabilities to small, large, and enterprise web networks.

Evan Solomon

Evan works at Automattic and is a Growth Engineer for WordPress.com on a team called New User Experience, or NUX. The NUX team, a wily group, tries to make it easier for people to signup and start posting their own content to WordPress.com. Evan runs lots of experiments on new features and designs, to figure out which ones should launch to all users on WordPress.com. If you’ve ever had to walk someone, step-by-step, through starting a WordPress.com site, he is trying to help you.

Greg Taylor

Greg Taylor, Founder of Marketing Press, categorizes himself as a long time digital content creator, “You’re either a digital content creator or a content consumer, I feel I’ve always been the former.” With his content marketing experience with brands and nonprofits, Greg’s unique approach to digital marketing strategy, WordPress development and social media marketing sets him apart as a thought leader in the digital marketing landscape.

Jeff Bishop

Jeff is a Brand Manager for InMotion Hosting, where he focuses on small-medium business web design. He mostly spends his time working on marketing campaigns aimed at businesses who need help (sometimes a lot of help) with their web presence. Similarly, Jeff consults for a few non-profit organizations on how to run their social media efforts and blogs.

Jeff has had an active role in assisting with WordCamp LA for the past three years and is excited to take on WordCamp Las Vegas. You can usually find Jeff someplace in Los Angeles being a stereotypical Mac fanboy. You can follow him @inmotion_jeff.

 

Jeffrey Zinn

Jeff has been working with the web as a permanent profession since 2000. Currently he develops WordPress themes and plugins at Pixel Jar, a web design firm he founded with Brandon Dove back in ought-four. Jeff also co-organizes WordCamp Orange County each spring and regularly attends the Orange County WordPress Meetup.

As much as Jeff enjoys working with WordPress and the web, he always find it necessary to disconnect and hide from the digital world. When not online, you’ll either find him out surfing, hiking, drinking coffee or seeking out the perfect burrito. Actually, you will most likely find him drinking coffee no matter what.

John Hawkins

Originally from Southern California, John is a long time web developer who has been living in Henderson for the past 10 years. 2 years ago John co-founded 9seeds, a development company focused solely on custom WordPress development.

John is a bit of a WordCamp groupie. Over the past couple years he has attended or spoke at 25 WordCamp events around the country. He also is an active member of the #VegasTech scene, co-organizer of the first Ignite Vegas and organizer of the Las Vegas WordPress meetup group.

John Lynn

John Lynn has been developing and working on websites since 2001 and blogging since 2005. John created and now manages two blog networks. One network is a thought leader in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Healthcare IT and the other is the “ESPN” for Talent Reality TV (Yes, two very similar topics). Despite having written somewhere around 6000 blog posts and generated millions of pageviews, John still enjoys writing and markeing his blogs. In order to share his blogging knowledge (and make it so he doesn’t have to answer how he makes money blogging), John just launched Slow and Steady Blogging to teach others to take their blog to the next level.

Joshua Ellis

Josh Ellis is a Web developer, musician and Pulitzer-nominated writer. He is the founder of geolocation microblogging service Stikki.me and the president of Standard Nerds, LLC. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife, two cats and more books than is probably healthy.

Justin Foell

“Justin Foell is a Web Developer for 9seeds. While he’s only been doing WordPress development for a year, the breadth of projects he’s encountered have given him ample opportunity to learn the in-and-outs of advanced plugin development. He has a great depth of knowledge from 9 years of Web Development experience, but brings a fresh look to coding in WordPress since he’s only seen WP 3.0+ versions.

Justin knows the 9seeds crew from living in Las Vegas for 5 years, but he originally hails and currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A 3-year veteran to the Minneapolis event: Overnight Website Challenge, Justin put his WordPress skills to use by joining team Full Court WordPress, helping them achieve top four status at the 2011 event.

Matt Martz

Matt Martz is a Senior Linux Systems Engineer at Rackspace Hosting in San Antonio, TX, specializing in high performance web serving. Matt has over 5 years experience in PHP and WordPress development. Matt has been writing plugins since 2006, and contributing to WordPress since 2008.

Matthew Prince

Matthew Prince (@eastdakota) is the co-founder & CEO of CloudFlare, the web performance and security company. Matthew wrote his first computer program when he was 7 and hasn’t been able to shake the bug since. After attending the University of Chicago Law School, he worked as an attorney for one day before jumping at the opportunity to be a founding member of a tech startup. He hasn’t looked back. CloudFlare is Matthew’s third entrepreneurial venture. CloudFlare makes security and performance for WordPress sites super simple, and supercharges websites with no need to add hardware, install software, or change a line of code. On the side, Matthew teaches Internet law as an adjunct professor, is a certified ski instructor, and a regular attendee of the Sundance Film Festival.

Natalie MacLees

Natalie MacLees is a front-end web developer and UI designer. She spends her days on the product team at Geni.com, a Los Angeles-based start-up that is crowdsourcing the creation of a single family tree of the world. Together with Noel Saw she heads up the Southern California WordPress User’s Group, organizing WordPress meetups, help sessions, and workshops. In 2010, she worked as technical reviewer on WordPress 3 Complete by April Hodge Silver and is currently writing jQuery for Designers for Packt Publishing. Pete Mall

Pete Mall is a veteran open source developer and contributing developer to WordPress and bbPress. Pete is a WordPress evangelist and a regular speaker on the WordCamp circuit. He helped architect and develop the Network Administration Dashboard for WordPress 3.1.

Pete has a proven track record of turning around troubled development projects and improving the productivity and dependability of a team. In 2008, he founded Joint Forces, a web development company that specializes in custom WordPress development and web applications.

Sara Cannon

Sara Cannon has a love for art, WordPress, design, and typography. Intersect these things and you’ve found her passion. Sara lives and works in Birmingham, AL, is a WordPress core contributor working with the UI group, and is an organizer of WordCamp Birmingham and the Bham WordPress Meetup group. Shayne Sanderson

Shayne started working with WordPress in 2006 and is a freelance consultant. He provides custom theme development and support. He also works closely with the developers of WP Ecommerce and Shopp providing custom solutions for clients.
